Cameron McGill is a poet, educator, and songwriter from Champaign, Illinois. He is the author of Meridians (Willow Springs Books, 2020) and In the Night Field (Augury Books, 2021). His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The American Poetry Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Blackbird, Denver Quarterly, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The Kenyon Review, Poetry Ireland Review, Raleigh Review, Terrain.org, Willow Springs, and elsewhere. In 2022, he released his seventh album The Widow Cameron. McGill is the recipient of a 2026 Idaho Commission on the Arts Literature Fellowship. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Idaho and teaches in the MFA program at Western Colorado University and at Washington State University, where he co-directs the Visiting Writers Series and a poetry study abroad to Ireland.
