Cameron McGill

Hello from Idaho. Hello from 2017.

My peoples,

I hope this finds you well. One of my 2017 New Year’s resolutions is to do a better job of keeping in touch with you all. Grad school, teaching, and the poems have been keeping me quite busy, but I am figuring out how to be in school again. I do hope to be sharing more creative work with you this year. So why not start now…I am excited to have a poem (“no kindness in the joke”) in the new issue of Aesthetica Magazine‘s 2017 Creative Writing Annual. Print and digital copies are available on their site. Next month, Grist Journal will publish the poem ‘This dream” as part of their 10th anniversary issue. Pre-orders are available. Poems are also forthcoming in Measure and Fogged Clarity.

I will be playing a few songs this Sunday 1/15 at Moscow, ID’s Writers Resist. The free event, which will include readings and musical performances, will be held at the Kenworthy Theater. 5:30pm start.

For my fellow writers, please consider submitting to Fugue Journal‘s 2017 annual writing contest. We are now accepting submissions, through March 15. Send me those poems!

love.

cameron.
